Established in 1997 by two police officers that saw the need for quality nylon equipment that was not readily available in British Columbia, Canada.

The founders of Tactical Advantage decided to research the benefits of nylon duty equipment. Their findings confirmed what they already knew from their practical street experience. Nylon is better for your back health and less expensive than leather.

A report from a practitioner at the Canadian Back Institute recommends the nylon belt system instead of leather or laminate because the weight of the equipment is distributed evenly by the inner and outer velcro belt system.

As with most things, price is a big consideration. Because of the high U.S. exchange rate, duty, importing costs and hassles, the staff at Tactical Advantage investigated the possibility of a Canadian-made product. None that were on the market were up to the standards that Tactical Advantage demanded. So, the company designers took the best of the best, added some of their own unique features not available anywhere else, and developed BLACK RHINO Nylon Duty Gear manufactured in Vancouver, B.C.

What started as a limited line of nylon police equipment has grown to encompass uniquely designed pieces that law enforcement, security, parking enforcement and paramedics were looking for.

Tactical Advantage has expanded its line to include custom designs. Products such as high-grade leather carrying cases and custom leather badge wallets are now regularly stocked items. Custom designs for corporate needs are one of our specialties.
